Observed result: a positive sum despite more losing trades
The detector identifies 228 resistance levels within the 365-day window. Of these, 205 later have a four-hour close above the confirmed level and 23 remain unbroken at the cutoff. Applying the target-distance rule produces 141 simulated longs and excludes 64 breakouts.
The 66 target exits contribute a reported +123.00% to the sum; the 75 closing-price stops contribute -94.69%. No positions remain open. The report gives a combined +28.31% and an average of +0.20% per long, using the same amount for every position.
Within this 141-trade sample, winners average +1.86% and losers -1.26%. The positive sum therefore coexists with more losses than wins. Interpretation: counting winning trades alone would miss the differences in their reported outcomes. This result describes the specified simulation before costs; it does not establish a repeatable future return.
How to read the resistance lines and the result bars
The upper panel combines four-hour price candles with horizontal resistance levels. Solid red lines show resistance until it is broken. Dotted red lines mark levels still holding under the closing-price definition. Dashed red segments follow a broken level while its associated long is open.
White upward triangles identify long entries. Hollow gray triangles identify breakouts rejected by the target-distance filter. Blue dashed segments show targets. Filled white circles mark target exits; hollow white circles mark stops when a candle closes back below the broken resistance. A price wick above a level is not enough to satisfy the breakout rule.
The lower panel contains results for the 141 longs in entry order: blue bars for gains and red bars for losses. It is not a cumulative portfolio curve. The +8.1% and -4.6% annotations round the report’s +8.07% and -4.56% extremes. Adjacent similar bars can represent overlapping positions in the same market move, rather than separate episodes.
Why 64 breakouts do not become long entries
Resistance begins with a local high relative to surrounding candles. Nearby highs are grouped into an average level, which becomes tradable after confirmation two four-hour candles, or eight hours, after its high. The model enters at the close of the first candle that closes above the confirmed resistance, with one long allowed per resistance.
The target is set 0.25% below the lowest active resistance above the entry price. Eligible target levels can come from the study window or the preceding 90 days. Entry is accepted only if that target remains at least 0.25% above the entry. The offset below resistance and the minimum distance above entry are separate rules.
All 64 excluded breakouts have targets less than 0.25% above entry. Some listed target distances are negative: placing the target below the next resistance can leave it below the prospective entry. The general method also rejects entries without a higher resistance, but that is not the reported reason for these 64 exclusions.
After entry, the target stays fixed. The model counts a target fill when a later candle’s high reaches it, checking that condition before the closing-price stop. Otherwise, the first close below the broken resistance ends the position at that close. A closing-price stop does not promise an exit at the resistance itself.
Historical comparison inside one 141-trade sample
The table selects two reported extremes from the 141 simulated longs: trade #107 reaches its target for +8.07%, while #17 exits by stop for -4.56%. They are examples from one 365-day window, not typical outcomes or independent validation tests. The reported best result is also repeated in other trades.
Across the same 141-trade sample, the 66 target exits take 18 hours on average, with a median of eight hours. The 75 stop exits take 33 hours on average, also with a median of eight hours. Candle dates below are UTC opening labels even when execution uses the close.
The average maximum favorable move is reported as +1.25%, compared with +0.20% at exit. An unrealized favorable move is therefore distinct from the final result. Historical similarity does not guarantee the same future outcome.

The repeated August entries behind the similar winning bars
Trades #107–#112 correspond to different broken resistances, but all enter at 68,523.70 USDT on the candle labeled August 19, 2026 at 12:00 UTC. They share a 74,055.40 USDT target, exit on the August 21 candle labeled 00:00 UTC and each report +8.07%. The table illustrates this group through trade #107.
The sum includes these overlapping positions separately. Their shared outcome is not evidence of independent successful market episodes. This matters when interpreting the blue cluster in the lower panel: a repeated entry price can contribute multiple trade results to the headline sum.
The supplied report provides no funded-account equity path, simultaneous-capital requirement or compounded portfolio return. Accordingly, +28.31% cannot be presented as the percentage gain on an unspecified account. The 141 trades measure this rule’s recorded operations, not 141 independent opportunities.
Levels to Watch: 23 unbroken resistances at the cutoff
Against the final close of 80,868.50 USDT, the nearest listed unbroken resistance is 80,913.10 USDT, grouping three highs and reported at +0.06% from that close. The next listed references are 82,022.00 USDT at +1.43% and 84,875.20 USDT at +4.95%. The table transcribes all 23 supplied levels and distances.
These are historical references at the October 27 cutoff. Still holding means the required closing breakout had not occurred by then; it does not guarantee rejection of a future price move. Levels formed near the end had less time to be tested. Neither the levels nor their distances are live quotes or entry recommendations.

Methodology and risk: execution and validation limits
Our own system builds candles from Binance USD(S)-M BTCUSDT perpetual aggregate trades: aggTrades to one-second candles, then one-minute candles and higher intervals. The report declares 3,386,930,944 processed aggTrades and 2,492 complete market days. This study uses 2,190 four-hour candles labeled October 28, 2025 at 00:00 through October 27, 2026 at 20:00 UTC.
Commissions, funding and slippage are excluded. A touched target counts as filled, although a real limit order might not fill. The exact grouping tolerance and full local-high neighborhood parameters are not supplied, so this document alone cannot reproduce resistance detection exactly. Later grouping can change a resistance’s average level; the original target remains fixed.
The report warns that choosing the target margin or minimum-distance filter that works best on this window fits the rules to these data. No out-of-sample result is provided. The positive sum should be assessed together with overlapping positions, omitted costs and those execution assumptions.
